BACKGROUND:
INCENTIVE/FIT: His incentive is for the Assassin's to finally get some kind of edge over the Templars. He would also ask that Desmond be woken from his Coma, but if he can't have both he'll choose the first option over the second. This is because while he does consider Desmond a comrade in arms and a friend (though he might not openly admit to the second, especially since he's still pretty miffed about Lucy), he knows that, logically, asking for an edge in the fight with the Templars is probably his best course of action. Desmond's situation is a little bleak, but it's one that they might find a solution for, but Abstergo and, by proxy, the Templars are doing nothing but gaining more power and influence.

As for fitting in, Shaun will be massively skeptical at first, and kind of just sass his way through his first few interaction. After that he will be just...awkward. Sassy, but awkward. Because he's kind of a dick and not so great at the whole intimacy thing. Though in the end he will convince himself that this is for the greater good, and that he should just suck it up and hold someone's hand.
